Summer Camp
Summer Camp (9-week 夏令營) (1st - 8th graders)
June 6th – August 5th, 2016, Mon. – Fri.: 8:00am – 6:00pm.
The students will be divided into different groups based on their academic levels. Students will have 2-hour of English learning classes with instruction of experienced English teachers and 2-hour of Math skills practice under guidance of Math teacher every day, so they will get fully prepared for their next academic year, other activities include: reading, math games, typing, Mandarin, snack break and outdoor exercises.
Algebra(1) & Geometry (bridge to Integrated Mathematics I, II) (7th -9th graders)
June 13th – July 28th, 2016 (7 weeks), Mon. - Thur.
Session1: 8:30am – 10:15am, Session2: 10:30am – 12:15pm
This math program will focus on concepts on Algebra I and Geometry. In addition, it will further prepare students for a more rigorous mathematical progression in high school. It will emphasis on developing students’ problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and strengthen situational analysis abilities. The design of this math program is to follow Integrated Pathway in California State Standards of Common Core.
Introduction to Trigonometry (9th -11th graders)
June 17th – July 29th, 2016 ( 7 weeks) Fri.: 9:00am – 12:00pm.
Trigonometry is a study of angles and of the angular relationships of planar and three-dimensional figures. It is the foundation of studies of science (such as Physics) and advanced mathematics (such as Calculus). The New SAT version has added the Trigonometry part. Hence it is required by the high school curriculum.
SAT/ACT Math Boots Camp (9th -12th graders)
June 18th – July 28th, 2016 (7 weeks) Mon, Wed.: 3:00pm – 5:30pm.
CRACK mathematics for ACT and New version of SAT. We will help students achieve their best math scores for their standard tests with comprehensive review and effective practice strategies. Our team of instructors includes experienced teachers and perfect score achievers.
